Handcrafted in the Middle East -
now it´s available in Switzerland
For centuries, the people of Arabia have understood the value of camel milk – the bounty of the desert.
Bedouin communities have relied on this rich liquid for sustenance and cosmetic purposes, and modern science supports many claims of its curative
properties.
The Camel Soap Factory is based in the UAE and handcrafts natural skincare products using fresh camel milk, which we source locally. Inspired by
the traditions of Arabia, our products are kind to your skin and to the environment, incorporating regional ingredients that pay homage to the
essence of Arabia.
While we are the world’s largest manufacturer of natural soaps made with fresh camel milk, we delight in delivering a personal experience to you.
We offer you a contemporary take on the traditions of Arabia, wherever you are in the world.
Enjoy the scents, textures and beauty of the Middle East. Share the tradition of Arabian hospitality with The Camel Soap Factory products – the
region’s premier gifting choice, Fresh from the Desert.
Natural Camel Milk Skincare
Our Journey as it turns out, Cleopatra was onto something with her daily ritual of
bathing in camel milk.
Camelmilk helps soften the skin because it contains lanolin, a fatty acid known for locking in the skin’s
natural moisture and soothing inflammation. Camelmilk is rich in lactic acid — in addition to its
antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, which can help kill acne-causing bacteria on the skin. Lactic
acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that helps remove dead skin cells and germs from the skin, and reduces the
severity and frequency of breakouts.
The Camel Soap Factory was founded by Stevi Lowmass in 2013. Stevi had always been fascinated with
handmade, natural soaps – particularly those incorporating milk, which has been used for nourishing the
skin for millennia.
Stevi realised that camel milk, long revered by Bedouins for its cosmetic uses, would make an ideal base
for natural soap products. She became convinced that a natural soap business, tailored for the local
context, would work in Dubai. It would also provide her with a way of giving something back to the
country she had called home for more than a decade.
After experimenting with making and selling camel milk soap at school fairs in 2011, it was clear to Stevi
that there was a high demand for the product, and so The Camel Soap Factory was born.
The company has since grown its production, distribution network and range of products, and has won
numerous awards. The Camel Soap Factory products are now recognised as a leading gift choice in the
UAE and have been embraced globally.
The Camel Soap Factory now offers factory tours and is a burgeoning tourism attraction for visitors to
Dubai. Despite its rapid growth trajectory, The Camel Soap Factory remains committed to producing
handcrafted, natural, ethically produced and environmentally-friendly products of the highest quality.
